For the tough chick

Stuart Vevers gave a solid, modern-day lineup for Elvis lovers, and Rodarte's fanfare of florals and lace was tinged with a surprising touch of leather

Stuart Vevers one-upped those who were expecting a very Americana collection this Spring/Summer 2017, seeking refuge in the quintessential American icon of rock 'n' roll, King Elvis for inspiration. If the edgy hairdos and heavily-rimmed eyes along with the studded creepers didn't scream girl-gang enough, the leather fringes, copious amounts of hardware and solid lineup of outerwear (from olive parkas to denim jackets) will make up for it.

If you loved what Kate and Laura Mulleavy offered last AW16 with the rockstar meets girly aesthetic, this season is all about adding drama while retaing a sense of tenuousness that they're well-known for. Citing a Spanish film as reference, there were elaborate ruffles (on everything really), ethereal lace and floral embroderies, and basically fairy-tale elements with an edge—high-waisted pants with safety-pins sewn on the sides paired with a lace top? Yes please.

Ever wondered what preppy East Coast-residing ladies wear to high-society soirées? Aside from tropical-print shift dresses and that mandatory matching neck scarves, Tory Burch's latest range of retro chic meets boho-loving silhouettes will probably fit the bill. While we can't get over those bright green and pink cardigans, the snazzy sweaters, paisley frocks and printed lounge-worthy pants are in our list for the next pool-side party/summer getaway.
