In honour of the actress’ 60th birthday, we review some of the best looks she’s pulled off over the last year

Tan Sri Michelle Yeoh is a name that’s synonymous with Malaysian pride. Boasting a filmography that includes Tomorrow Never Dies from the James Bond franchise, Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, Star Trek: Discovery, Crazy Rich Asians, Marvel Studio's Shang-Chi and The Legend of the Ten Rings and most recently, Everything Everywhere All at Once, Yeoh’s acting (and action) chops speak for itself. With more Hollywood movies slated for release this year and next, such as The School of Good and Evil and Avatar 3, the Ipoh-born starlet continues to represent us honourably on the international stage.

Her acting skills aside, we're shining the limelight on something else that is equally praise-worthy: her immaculate style. Be it a red carpet event, on the front row at Haute Couture Fashion Week or on the streets of New York City, you can count on Yeoh to look sophisticated in any get-up. A scroll through our list below and you'll notice the actress usually opts for elegant, streamlined silhouettes on the red carpet, but prefers structured, masculine tailoring for more casual affairs. To commemorate the huge milestone that is her 60th birthday, we take a look at what exactly makes her an eternal style star.

Yeoh makes an appearance at Haute Couture Fashion Week '22 dressed gracefully in a floor-sweeping Balenciaga satin gown with a high neckline.

Wearing a champagne-coloured blazer paired with dark denim jeans, Yeoh does glam with a touch of everyday casual for the Schiaparelli show at Haute Couture Fashion Week.

More luxurious than the regular pantsuit, Yeoh dons a monochrome velvet tuxedo for a night out watching the Elie Saab Spring/Summer 22 show.

For Gold House’s inaugural Gold Gala celebrating Asian/Pacific American Heritage, Yeoh gets comfortable and feminine in a one-shoulder, sari-inspired dress from Prabal Gurung.

Here, she's looking as regal as ever in another Prabal Gurung number for the 2022 Met Gala.

Not one to shy away from colour, Yeoh stuns in a bright and bold orange pantsuit while making press rounds for her movie, Everything Everywhere All at Once.

For a day celebrating the Disney Storytellers Showcase in New York City, the actor wears a tailored yet flirty black blazer dress with thigh-high boots.

Yeoh keeps it sophisticated in another structured black blazer, but this is contrasted by a soft and airy tulle skirt.

For the No Time To Die London premiere, Yeoh wears an ethereal, sparkly, show-stopping Elie Saab gown, paired with an equally glittery Roger Vivier bag.

A white shirt is always a good idea and Yeoh pairs hers with a lace maxi skirt by Shiatzy Chen and a layered chain belt.
