Dona Plant Base

If you're in the market for minimal, timeless styles in neutral shades that also keep the planet in mind, look no further than Vanessa Toolseram's Dona Plant Base. Inspired by the founder's Peranakan heritage, the label places mother nature at its core and takes a craft-based approach to create functional swim sets made out of an eco-conscious techno-fabric called Vita by Carvico. Their bikinis are great for both lazy lounging days and doing water activities, and there's also a range of upcycled batik bardot tops and dresses for the ultimate tropics outfit.

Ozero Swimwear

Ozero get its name from "озеро", which means lake in Russian. As such, each of its swimwear styles is named after one from around the world. Founded by KL-based Russian model Elena Cheurina, the sustainable swimwear brand uses a mix of performance fabrics from Italy as well as Econyl (a regenerated nylon fibre made from rescued plastic waste) to create their effortlessly chic pieces. Ranging from bold shades to floral prints, their bikinis and one-pieces embody the joys of summer and arrive in uber-flattering fits.

Owl By Dowlani

Beachside romance is at the heart of Central Saint Martins graduate Nikita Dowlani's swimwear designs. From sweet ruffles to flirty off-the-shoulder styles, each creation is hand-painted with unique prints inspired by the Southeast Asian landscape.

Bikini Tari

Best recognised by their signature braided straps, Bikini Tari was founded by pole dancer Lissy Tari after she realised there was a gap in the market for unique, functional swimwear. Handmade in Bali, Bikini Tari swimsuits were designed to celebrate women of all body types and features textured details, adjustable sizing and plenty of support, which makes them super comfortable to wear. Most of their designs are entirely reversible so it's essentially two pieces in one, and versatile enough to wear beyond the borders of the pool.

Malibu Beachwear

Born out of a love of beach getaways and island life, Malibu Beachwear started off as a passion project by Jane Fong. What transpired was an easy-to-wear selection of beachwear offered in a range of styles inspired by visions of palm trees, sunsets and piña coladas. From bandeau bikinis to plunging halter one-pieces, their collections are created in limited numbers and come delivered in natural, recyclable kraft paper packaging.

La Bumba

Built around babe power (for #bumbabes), La Bumba was founded in 2018 by friends Hannah Bhatt and Rufina Tan. The pair focused on comfort and confidence to create cute, size-inclusive swimwear that features cheeky cuts and classic shapes in a diverse range of styles. They even have moms in mind with their nursing-friendly maternity line.
