Singing clutches and dancing boots welcome the Roger Vivier FW17 line
All Singing, All Dancing

Reflective of this season's Roger Vivier woman who revels in eccentricity, the brand's presentation space exuded contrasting appeal with powder pink back drops and graphic black and white flooring.
As the stripes drew the audience in and guided them through the maze of Roger Viviers latest lineup, the beautiful designs were what captivated their stay. The Fall/Winter collection drew inspiration from a treasure trove of decorative elements. Delving into the richness of interior decor, a collection that narrates an obsession with embellishment and furnishing produced references to 19th-century Ottoman fabric, dizzying patterned wallpaper, skins of exotic beasts and florals galore.
French artist, Jean Paul Goude was invited as a guest of the maison, to produce a celebratory work of art in honour of Roger Vivier's creations. "All Singing, All Dancing" was the title given to an installation of over 100 screens playing a loop of psychedelic visuals to a hypnotic beat. The story: Roger Vivier shoes dancing and clutches singing to the intense pace of the modern world.
Amid the frenzy, two pieces emerge as the shoe and bag of the season. The Podium Square Bootie is a shoe in when it comes to choosing a winning classic. The timeless sihouette (derived from the archives) supported by the house's signature square buckle and congruous heel speaks bold femininity and pays tribute to the seventies. Choose between statement-making stripes, patent leather, sensuous satin or metallic embroidery evoking the Ottoman empire.
Multi-coloured leather marquetry transforms the Viv' Cabas into an intriguing work of art. Especially distinctive considering the often muted palette of autumn and winter, the vivid trapezoidal stripes are bound to brighten your wardrobe during the dreary months. A curved buckle elegantly adorns its front while different coloured straps offer a dash of versatility and pizzazz.
