Create your own home gallery with these designer rugs from Ikea Art Event

With a mash-up of tapestry art and modern design, the collection looks to have come out straight from an art gallery. The Ikea Art Event presents a collection of rugs that take influences from avant-garde fashion and street culture.

Eight creative designers collaborated on the limited edition pieces for the Ikea Art Event. They are Virgil Abloh, Chiaozza, and Noah Lyon from the USA, Craig Green from the UK, Misaki Kawai from Japan, Seulgi Lee from South Korea, Supakitch from France and Filip Pagowski from Poland.

Each rug bears the trademark design of the designer and it is crafted from natural materials, with most handmade by artisans from India and Egypt. As part of the drop of the Ikea Art Event collection, you also stand a chance to win a limited edition rug including Virgil Abloh’s ‘Keep Off’ piece.

All you need to do is state your case on why you should win the rug through the ballot in-stores anytime from 16th to 20th May 2019. More info here.
