The biggest revelation from the final trailer of ‘Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald’

They certainly saved the best for last—the last trailer before the release unveiled some of the biggest surprises yet. While the previous trailer showed a quick glimpse of Jude Law's Dumbledore seeing Grindelwald in the Mirror of Erised, this trailer revealed a much more intimate look at a younger Dumbledore (reprised by Toby Regbo from Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 1) at the mirror with a pained expression that indicates a longing for the similarly younger Grindelwald. Perhaps we'll get an extended flashback to their younger days?
Also confirmed is the fact that Newt Scamander and his brother Theseus are not on the best terms. Earlier news reported that Theseus is engaged with Leta Lestrange, whom clearly has history with Newt as hinted in the first film, so this doesn't come off as too big of a surprise, although we'd imagine there is a lot more to the trio's story that we'll hopefully learn in the sequel.
But the biggest revelation of all is one that revolves around Claudia Kim's character. The South Korean actress plays Nagini—that's right, Lord Voldermort's trust companion and Horcrux is no ordinary snake, she is in fact a Maledictus: a witch or wizard who carries a blood curse which ultimately turns them into a beast forever. We certainly didn't see that coming.
In an interview with EW, Kim shared: "It will be so interesting to see another side of Nagini. You've only seen her as a Horcrux. In this, she's a wonderful and vulnerable woman who wants to live. She wants to stay a human being and I think that's a wonderful contrast to the character."
Now, what is Credence up to with Nagini? Will the film reveal what led her to be bound by Voldermort? 16 November cannot come any sooner.
