PFW SS16 Day 4: Unconventional methods

Day four of Paris Fashion Week S/S’16 had Spring/Summer pretty looks with hues of pastel pink and lilac-blush on the eyes, as seen in Dior and Chalayan respectively. Dior also featured an intriguing take on the low ponytail, with hair breaking around the ears so that large statement earrings can be seen.

Speaking of intruiging, Issey Miyake’s graphic splatter around the eyes were custom created with pigments blown through a straw on the face, while hair was tousled and styled askew. Facial jewelry has also been trending on the runways this season, with Undercover’s theatrical gemstone-encrusted looks—rhinestones shaped as eye masks and crystal horns atop coiled hair.

Yohji Yamamoto’s models also had unevenly layered hair sectioned according to hues of briliant red and brown, with a streak of colour drawn over the eyes that stood out amidst the all-black collection.
