DIY: How to get Jamie Chung’s boho-glam waves

If you’ve always wanted to pull off Jamie Chung’s SoCal chic, side-parted waves that she’d spotted during New York Fashion Week SS16, here’s an insider’s guide on how to achieve this boho look on your own, thanks to JOICO celebrity hairstylist Paul Norton:

1. Curl your hair with two different-sized curling irons: a 1 ¼ inch and a 1-inch. Alternate between the irons on each section as well as the direction of the curl to give it a looser look. This also pushes your hair in a way to help it appear fuller and less confined—”a very tailored look of effortlessness.”

2. After curling your hair, section it for a deep side part for a more glamorous effect along with extra root volume.

3.  Tilt your head back and spray Joico Hair Shake through the ends. Use your fingers as a comb to separate your hair and liven it up a bit, then frame it accordingly around your face and tuck it behind your left ear.

4. Use Joico Flip Turn to ensure the look would hold throughout the day and to control any loose fly-aways.
