An estimated 70 million people worldwide have autism and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) affects over 1% of the world’s population with more children than before being diagnosed with it. To raise awareness for autism and help change the future for children struggling with the condition, Kiehl’s, Autism Speaks and Matthew McConaughey have come together for a good cause.

As part of Kiehl’s Global Philanthropic Program, the partnership includes a social awareness initiative and the release of Kiehl’s x Matthew McConaughey Limited Edition Ultra Facial Cream. The cream is packaged in a one-of-a-kind packaging that is created by the actor featuring uplifting colours and geometric shapes, including interlocking puzzle piece—a nod to the iconic Autism Speaks blue puzzle piece.

“Autism affects an estimated 70 million people worldwide, and many of the students enrolled in my ‘just keep livin’ after-school programmes are on the autism spectrum. I’ve witnessed firsthand the effects of autism, not only on the child, but on their families as well,” said McConaughey. “I’m humbled to collaborate with Kiehl’s and Autism Speaks to help provide early diagnosis and services for these incredible children and families, making a lifetime of difference.”

In tandem with the launch of the moisturiser is a short video of McConaughey calling on people to get talking about autism. For every video share, Kiehl’s will donate US$1 to its Autism Speaks Campaign. If you’d like to show your support, this video will be made available on Kiehl’s Malaysia Facebook page from the first week of October.
