Two lipsticks, five finishes, 32 shades — countless possibilities

Whether a matte velvet or sleek metallic finish, lipstick trends are always in flux. But one thing is a constant-there never is a shortage of lippie inspo for you to experiment with. If you're the sort who loves to dabble with a plethora of lipstick finishes, Dior Beauty's latest lipstick ranges are what you need, stat. The iconic Rouge Dior has been reinvented this year once again, with two major lipsticks that you can sport from day to night, for all occasions.

"It's true that I love extreme colours like true reds, and blacks, but here, I was fascinated by the challenge to create faux-natural shades. Thinking of the numerous women who wear rosewood, I endeavoured to build a palette that moves subtly from beige to an almost chocolate pink," says Peter Philips, Creative and Image Director for Dior Makeup. "Depending on the natural colour of the lips and the skin tone, Dior Rouge Liquid provides a natural, chic look."

The first is a liquid lipstick that offers an innovative effect and head-turning colour impact-think intense, pigmented hues that stay on your lips for up to 12 hours. The Dior Rouge Liquid boasts an all-new formula that combines colour, longwear and comfort, thanks to ingredients such as silicon resin and four different oils. But the X factor of the Dior Rouge Liquid is its game-changing colour families. We're talking four outstanding effects: bold matte, velvet nude, satin, and metallic. Here's a gist of what you can expect from each shade:

Liquid Rock Matte: Bold lippie lovers would love this lipstick, with seven stunning shades guaranteed to make a statement. Try It-shade 999 Matte for a classic red, or 862 Hectic Matte for a dramatic look.

Liquid Electric Metal: Available in three shades, this lipstick has a high-impact finish is akin to nail varnish. We're loving shades 979 Poison Metal, an opulent plum, and 601 Hologlam, a fun yet futuristic holographic silver.

Liquid Pop Satin: Those who can't stray far from satin finishes would love this lipstick. Go for 162 Miss Satin, a delicate pink that you can wear in the daytime, and 895 Fab Satin, a dark, beautiful burgundy that you can rock at night.

Liquid Velvet Nude: Ace your nudes with a variety of light, creamy beiges for a chic look. A new HG nude brown of ours is 614 Jungle Matte.

Alongside the Dior Rouge Liquid is the first matte metallic lipstick from the French maison. The Double Rouge leaves an ombré effect thanks to its dual-textured stick, made of a matte outer ring and a metallic, light-reflecting core.

"[the double rouge]  is an on-the-go product that's easy to wear and yet capable of producing a make-up result that's worthy of the pros," – Peter Philips.

What we love about the Double Rouge is that there's a shade for everyone. Got a soft spot for shocking pinks? Try 578 Shock Fuchsia for a snazzy look. Can't resist a dramatic, dark lip? We recommend 992 Poison Purple, an intense violet with a metallic core of iridescent gold and deep purple. There's one for every lipstick loving girl out there.
