Hair envy no more

"Concealers like powders and sprays are great for covering your roots (or grays) between salon visits. To rejuvenate your highlights and extend hair color and shine, you could try some at-home treatments like my brand-new Canalé Signature Glosses. Midnight Blue helps remove unwanted brassy tones in blonde hair, and reduce the reddish tones in brunettes. Cool Blue helps preserve and maintain the desired cool tones. Sunkissed Gold helps preserve and maintain the desired golden tones in your hair."

"My least favorite hair colour trend is the half-and-half toned hair. I think that two-tone hair is a really "cool" trend for the younger crowd, and it is easy to understand why—it's fun and different. However, it's also extremely high maintenance so the grow-out is noticeable and not as pretty as a natural highlight would be. Plus, it is likely that the hair that was bleached is over-processed."

"I love big, bouncy hair with life. If there was a hair trend to bring back, it would be the big, glamourous hair colour and styling from the ‘60s and ‘70s. Those big, voluminous blowouts were beautiful—fuller hair around the face with highlights to frame and accentuate your facial features."

"The first priority is always the health of the hair. No matter what kind of chemical treatment you have done, the hair has to be in good condition."

"First, I find the client's skin undertone. If their undertone is cool, the client usually looks better in ashy to sandy tones. Clients with warm undertones usually gravitate to golden tones. There's an easy way to find the undertone—just look at the wrist and you will see veins. Blue-ish veins mean you have a cool undertone, while green veins mean you have a warm undertone. I also make sure that their hair is healthy enough to be bleached."
