In celebration of Sulwhasoo 50 years of ginseng heritage, we got 15 women to share what is their idea of holistic beauty
"What does holistic beauty mean to you?" It was a simple question posed to 15 female personalities. The answers were thought-out long and hard as holistic beauty is a topic that is open to one's interpretation and feeling.
It is also a subject that Sulwhasoo has familiarised itself with in the last 50 years as it research into the Asian wisdom of beauty. Many secrets were uncovered but one key source of inspiration is 'donguibogam' or the principles and practice of Eastern Medicine.
It is believed that nature and humans, and body and mind are one. Sulwhasoo takes inspiration from Asian philosophy that values harmony and balance. From the first ever research, Sulwhasoo has learned to cultivate beauty with natural ingredients, which not only helped refine the outer appearance but also the inner spirit to achieve a balanced beauty. This discovery marked the beginning of Sulwhasoo's journey in holistic beauty.
Sulwhasoo has in the last 50 years been cultivating ginseng to deliver precious active ingredients and benefits to the skin. Of course, this will only help as much as one's lifestyle. For our 15 women, holistic beauty goes beyond skin deep. Here's what they have to say on the subject.
