Write a digital message in a virtual sky with IWC’s Skywriter

Renowned watch manufacturer IWC Schaffhausen is expanding its digital reach with its new global digital campaign, Skywriter. A platform that allows online audiences to digitally write a message in a virtual sky and share it with third parties, users can actually select one out of four vintage airplanes associated with four IWC Pilot’s Watches universes and choose the related IWC timepiece.

After virtually flying the airplane along a given path, a personalised message appears in the sky and can be shared on social media such as Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Google+, Whatsapp, Weibo or direct email, and also the “save message” function on Instagram. Marking another milestone in the luxury watch brand’s current campaign for its new Pilot’s Watches collection launched during the Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie (SIHH) 2016 in Geneva, the Skywriter is designed to actively engage IWC’s web clientele and global online followers.

Check out IWC’s Skywriter here that is available in ten languages. Its programming is based on WebGl which allows users to experience the platform in full 3D-graphics on any browser and device without the need to download an app.
