The extravagant abundance of the natural world is the basis of Tiffany & Co.'s 2016 Blue Book collection—a sheer range of gems take centre stage here, from diamonds and pearls to tanzanites and tourmalines. Taking its design inspiration from the beauty of the sea, Tiffany & Co.'s Blue Book collection pays tribute to the endless, fertile change that takes place in the ocean, hence giving rise to the apt name of the collection: the Art of Transformation.

"In this collection, we are taking you on a journey through nature. From the deep ocean, we float to the edge of the water where stillness reigns. In this world, cocooned in calm, transformation occurs," says design director Francesca Amfitheatrof. "Life changes, and nature reaches to the surface and takes its first breath of air. It’s a story about evolution and all that is possible in silence and peace, where nature plays its magic and creates the mysteries of the world we live in."

Find the evolution of a 179-year legacy of glamour and style in the form of exquisite stones and diamonds. The Blue Book also features brilliant creatures that evolve in myriad and wondrous ways, such as a trio of starfish in a cuff of diamonds, sapphires and tsavorites; an octopus of diamond tentacles surrounding an outsize baroque pearl; and earrings of emerald-cut tanzanites that anchor fanciful fish of green tourmalines. This collection underscores a tradition of craftsmanship and the flawless colour and clarity of diamonds, while making full use of the allure in movement and the play of light.
