Presenting Chopard’s Red Carpet collection for the 68th Cannes Film Festival

Beneath the Mediterranean sky, Chopard, the official partner of the Cannes Film Festival since 1998, dazzled the red carpet with its Haute Joaillerie collection. Fusing avant-garde technology with traditional techniques, Chopard revealed a sophisticated collection of artistic treasures, which included multi-coloured gem-encrusted necklaces to jewellery watches.

To achieve its aesthetic grandeur, the Red Carpet collection features finely carved precious stones in the form of colourful swirling arabesques. In a variety of cuts, emeralds, rubies, Paraiba tourmalines, amethysts and tanzanites refine the unique designs, infusing a generous dose of opulence. From rows of glittering gems to ribbons of 18-carat white and rose gold, femininity and artistic brilliance permeate these Haute Joailleries pieces.

The Red Carpet collection also includes a capsule collection of Green Carpet jewellery, Chopard’s commitment in promoting sustainable luxury. In honour of the 60th anniversary of the Palme d’Or, co-president and artistic director of Chopard, Caroline Scheufele, announced, In 2014, I decided that the Palme d’Or, the most prestigious reward in the international film industry, should from now on be made in Fairmined gold. This year, to mark the 60th anniversary of the Palme d’Or, we have combined the emblem, our jewellery-making expertise and our commitment to sustainable luxury by creating a Green Carpet capsule collection inspired by the Palme”.

Embracing the perfect harmony of the palm’s natural curves, particularly its finely veined folioles, the Green Carpet collection features an exquisite design that ornaments a ring, bracelet, jewellery watch and a long pendant necklace. To further exemplify the brand’s values of sustainability, the exquisite creations are set with subtly graded marquise-cut diamonds sourced from a member of the Responsible Jewellery Council, the IGC group.
