When the brand known for their premium travel, business and lifestyle accessories tapped this particular jewellery designer for an exclusive, limited edition capsule collection, it was like a partnership matchmade in heaven. Eva Zuckerman, the New York native, designer and artist behind Eva Fehren Fine Jewellery has long searched for the ideal travel companion. And in collaborating with a company with parallel thoughts on design and purpose, she’s found it.
“Working with TUMI has been such a dream,” says Eva Zuckerman. “The process was incredibly creative and I’m so proud of the pieces we created together. It was an extremely fun challenge to think about how to incorporate innovative functions in a way that felt effortlessly chic, and that also fit seamlessly into the modern woman’s lifestyle.”
Zuckerman’s dream became reality in a 4-piece capsule—comprising of a spacious tote; a versatile pouch that serves as a wallet, clutch or crossbody; a jewellery box; and jewellery roll—crafted of luxuriously supple leather. With flair and functionality combined, the pieces retain Tumi’s irrefutable vision on performance while expressing a creativity only an artist can imbue.
Inky fabrications are brought to life with a print derived from artworks by the designer herself. But on top of the bespeckled aesthetics, organisational compartments such as padded pockets, key leashes, and concealed spaces that keep valuables hidden from plain sight, speak volumes of the thought put into design. To wrap things up, a signature Eva Fehren dagger dangles from sleek leather cords, casually adding a bit of edge.
Starting from 13 November 2017, the Tumi x Eva Fehren capsule collection will be available for purchase on tumi.my, and exclusively at the Tumi Pavilion KL, Suria KLCC, and The Gardens stores.
