EcoCapsules: the mobile way to travel

Ever dreamed of travelling anywhere in the world, without having to worry about a place to stay? Enter the EcoCapsule, a low-energy house in a pod-like shape, which combines energy efficiency and the ability to park itself anywhere in the world with the creature comforts of a hotel room.

The EcoCapsule has 2.6m2 of high-efficiency solar cells and a retractable pole holding a 750W wind turbine attached to the body, which provides energy and electricity enough to support two adults for almost a whole year. A dual power system and a high-capacity battery ensures there won’t be instances where power runs out when there is insufficient wind or sun.

Despite it being shaped like a pod, the layout inside is spacious and has a built-in kitchenette with running water, a toilet and hot shower, plus storage space for your belongings. Its spherical shape is optimised for the collection of rainwater and dew and there are built-in water filters where water collected from a water source can be filtered.

And it’s the ultimate take-along ‘tent’ too, since it fits into a standard shipping container and no special preparations and precautions are necessary to transport the EcoCapsule. So get ready to start camping in any part of the world you desire.
