7 Things you can do this weekend: 23-24 April 2016

1. Bootcamp 101: Back to Basics at TTDI, 5pm – 6.30pm, Sat

Been wanting to start working on your fitness levels but not sure how to start? This 90-minute workshop will teach you the basic movements you can do at home with no equipment required, but above all, it’ll show you how to have fun with fitness. The lesson takes place in the first 60 minutes followed by a workout session in the last 30 minutes. Participants will also receive a handout with multiple workouts they can do at home.

This workshop is organised by DailyMuscle and is RM50 per person. For more information, visit their Facebook

2. LOL L!ve Comedy Special: Video Killed The Radio Star at TREC KL, 8.30pm – 11pm, Sat

Forget about the past stressful week with a night filled with laughter courtesy of three of Malaysia’s most outrageous DJs: Papi Zak, Rudy and JJ. The trio will be joining forces in a one of a kind stand up comedy show with Phoon Chi Ho as the guest star.

Tickets to the show is priced at RM40 per person. For more information, visit their Facebook

3. Swing Out at Publika, 7pm, Sat

Whether you’re a dancer or not, this outdoor swing dance event is the perfect time to let loose. Learn more about swing dancing, enjoy live music from gypsy swing jazz band, Douche Manouche (and dance to it) and stand a chance to win some vouchers.

The event is free. To find out more, visit their Facebook

4. Mari Market at Dewan Orang Ramai, Sungai Buloh, 9am – 5pm, Sun

A community pop-up market unlike any other, Mari Market is bringing together local organic farmers, homegrown artists, and vendors who promote healthy foods, artisanal goods and sustainable living. Pay them a visit and you might leave with several goodies to bring home.

5. SOS “Save Our Strays” at Bottle World, Kota Damansara, 10am – 4pm, Sun

Bottle World, a craft beer bar, is having their first charity event where proceeds from a cup of coffee will be donated to a rescuer to help fund his/her rescued dogs’ medical fees and food. The bar hopes to hold this event on the last Sunday of every month where they’ll invite a rescuer to share his/her story.

6. A Sunday Affair at TREC KL, 4.30pm – 10.30pm, Sun

The music and arts bazaar is back and this time, there are new food trucks, live acts and vendors!

7. Make a reservation for Dinner in The Sky in Johor

Dinner in The Sky Malaysia is back for the third time! Come May, they’ll be heading down south to the Puteri Harbour. If the overwhelming response from the last two dinners has taught us anything, it’s that seats get booked really fast. They’ve already started taking reservations since 16 April so don’t miss out.
