7 Things you can do this weekend: 20—21 January 2018

1. Pop-up Modern Kaiseki dining experience at Erawan, 6.30pm – 10pm, 19, 20 & 21 Jan

A total of seven Japanese chefs (two of whom are both Michelin-starred chefs) from Kyoto will be collaborating with Chef Korn and the rest of Erawan’s in-house chef to present an 11-course modern Kaiseki.

2. Arts & Lights – The Speakeasy at M Vertica, Cheras, 20 Jan – 11 Feb

If you’ve checked out their Rainbow Riot edition (happening till 28 Jan) and can’t get enough, Arts & Lights is popping out another space decked in new installations and Instagrammable spaces. The theme, however, is The Speakeasy so expect a concoction inspired by the smokey and jazzy speakeasies of the 1920s. 

Admission is free but you’ll have to register here first.

 

3. Riuh’s Tropical Fiesta at APW Bangsar, 10am – 9pm, 20 & 21 Jan

With all the holiday-themed festivities done and dusted, Riuh is back with a tropical affair this time around. Expect pop-up stores, yummy food, live acts, creative workshops and Instagram-worthy visual art spots!

4. Chinese New Year Market at Commune, Sunway Velocity, 12pm – 8pm, 20 & 21 Jan

On the other side of town, you’ll find everything you need to prepare for the upcoming CNY season – traditional Chinese cheongsams, homemade food and snacks, plants, decorations, workshops and more.

5. Water Kefir Workshop at The Hive, Bangsar, 10am – 12pm, 20 Jan

Learn how to make your own natural probiotics and digestive aids drinks in the comforts of your own home.

6. DropUP at Bottega Mediterranea, 7pm – 10pm, 19 Jan

One of Hong Kong’s best bars, Drop will be opening in KL come February but before that, they’re having a pop-up to give you a taste of what they have to offer.

7. A dining experience with 2-star Michelin Chef Pere Planaguma at The St. Regis KL, 19 – 21 Jan

Another Michelin-starred chef is coming to town. Spanish 2-star Michelin Chef Pere Planaguma is taking over the kitchen at The Brasserie and it’ll be an entirely different menu from his usual as the dishes will be inspired by The St. Regis KL’s renowned collection of art.
