One of Singapore’s popular brunch places has made its way to KL but be warned as the cafe is still in its soft launch stage so the selection is pretty limited. Try the smashed avocado on toast though. (Mmmm!) Coffee lovers will also be satisfied as it’s manned by sister brand Common Man Coffee Roasters.

4. Beta Restobar

In a thriving scene of Instagram-worthy cafes, it’s refreshing when a new restaurant pops up with a similar aesthetic and a very dynamic offering of flavours. From the same people behind Skillet @ 163 comes Beta Restobar with a contemporary Malaysian menu that is both delicious yet playful, familiar but reinvented, and simply gorgeous on the plate.

Address: Fraser Place, Jalan Perak, Kuala Lumpur

Opening hours: 12pm – 3pm, 5pm – 1am (closed on Mondays)

Phone number: 03 2181 2990

5. Bubble Bee Cafe

Another cute place has opened up in Petaling Street but we say come here for desserts (though they do serve sandwiches). Their main item is the egg waffles in several variations and the interior features hexagonal tiles, wooden accents and several leafy decorations.
