1. Wizards At Tribeca

With a successful portfolio of cafes (The Red Beanbag and Yellow Brick Road) under the founders’ belts, Wizards at Tribeca isn’t just a magic trick. The space is both bright and inviting, and its menu of good coffee, all-day brunches, dinner dishes and fun cocktails make it a great spot to dine at be it day or night.

Troika Sky Dining has been playing with concept restaurants that boast an enviable space and Instagrammable dishes. Case in point: Mr Chew’s Chino Latino Bar. And now: Brasserie Fritz, a French casual fine dining spot just downstairs of Mr Chew’s.

4. Amore Espresso Bar

Know that Amore Espresso Bar has all the makings of an Instagram-worthy cafe: A minimalistic space, greenery, a pink neon sign and a variety of flavoured soft serve ice creams. Their croissants and its creative options of accompaniments (nasi lemak rendang chicken anyone?) are also quite intriguing.

Address: 24A, Jalan Datuk Sulaiman, Taman Tun Dr Ismail, 60000 Kuala Lumpur

Opening hours: 11am-9pm (weekends); 10.30am-8pm (Tues-Fri); closed on Mon

5. Lim Kee Cafe

We’re in love with cafes hidden in (refurbished) heritage buildings. This particular one is hidden in Tian Jing Hotel. Sporting gorgeous tiles and ol’ rattan chairs, stop by for a spot of coffee, Malaysian breakfast favourites and desserts (try the Malaysian-inspired ice cream flavours).

Address: 66-68, Jalan Sultan, City Centre, 50000 Kuala Lumpur

Opening hours: 9.30am-9pm (Fri-Sun); 9.30am-6pm (Mon-Thurs)
