North America’s biggest music and arts festival has finally come to a close, and as with every outdoor extravaganza in the middle of a desert, a handful of style trends can be spotted courtesy of influencers, celebrities and generally PYTs out and about during the two weeks. While we’re glad to see the demise of the flower crown in recent times, chokers were dominating as of last year’s Coachella—and this year it’s been reinterpreted via a slew of textures. From heavy embellishments, velvet, or brand-championing (it’s all about slogans and logos these days), the choker is still clinching the top spot on our trend list, and it is now deemed en vogue to layer it with a multitude of dainty pendants and necklaces.
Alongside that, earrings have also been making a comeback—the bigger, the better. We spotted feather shoulder-dusters, glamourously gilded earrings, and even hoops that echoed a ’90s sentiment. Other festival-appropriate trend we spotted include body chains (est. 2016) and headpieces that resemble gold crowns—because floral crowns are too basic.
