Flirtatious fun was the forté of the fourth day. Light summery frocks with scattered florals and fluttery layers moved beautifully in the wind. Full skirts caught in the breeze and romantic tousled do's brought us the most feminine installment of our NYFW street style highlights yet.

Notions of ethereal femininity floated away on the fifth day as the march of the power dressers commenced. The cast of industry stalwarts showed up in tailored pieces that meant business.

Non-showgoers could have sat by the sidelines and would have gotten front-row access to a collection of stylish looks borrowed from the boys. There was a wonderful display of styling techniques that showcased ways of working in menswear into your wardrobe without sacrificing a womanly flair. A handful of tricks we picked up include playing with silhouettes by cinching in the waist, incorporating fabrics such as lace and florals into an otherwise masculine ensemble, and picking tailored pieces with girly details and colours (we may be biased but we reckon a woman pulls a shiny lamé trench off with more ease on any given day).
