Moschino launches new capsule collection for Spring/Summer 2017

Every season, Moschino presents a capsule collection straight off the runway, even before the see-now-buy-now domination. After sending models down the catwalk in life-size paper doll clothes at Milan Fashion Week, one should not expect the capsule collection to be any less eccentric. As if like tradition, Jeremy Scott has been presenting fun and almost-bizarre themes over the past seasons, namely the ‘Fast Food’ and ‘Ready to Bear’ collections as well as the Barbie doll capsule collection in collaboration with Mattel.

This Spring/Summer 2017, Scott did not disappoint. Presenting a new capsule range inspired by the packaging and instructional inserts of over-the counter medication, this latest collection by the house gives new meaning to the term “capsule collection”. Featuring a colourful selection of two-tone pill-printed garments, the provocative motif is extended to accessories like backpacks and even umbrellas. Not forgetting tongue-in-check statements such such as Shake Well, Warning and Before taking medicine check with your pharmacist. Also, get a dose of this; classic bottles and plastic blister packs for pills are transformed into iPhone covers, shoulder bags and clutches. There is no doubt that these are going to be “sick” pieces for next season – pun intended.
