Saffron is one shade that is synonymous with Louis Vuitton's history. It first featured on the vintage Citroën trunk back in 1924, and saffron is also the colour of the Maison's bag handles, labels and trims since 1860. This year, the brand's masculine brown packaging sees a new facelift with "Safran Impérial" or Imperial Saffron taking over its main colour palette, in contrast with cobalt-blue highlights from ribbon wrapping and handles. The new packaging also sports higher quality paper and collapsible versions to ship easily, not to mention, more environmental friendly. Simultaneously introduced along with Marc Newson's latest rolling luggage range, the Imperial Saffron packaging will be available in all 450 stores globally after Les Parfums Louis Vuitton is released.
