Louis Vuitton x UNICEF’s Silver Lockit now comes in five colour variations

Did you know that the Syrian Civil War has been ongoing for seven years now, with nearly 6 million children in need of assistance and more than 2.5 million refugees displaced from their homes? If you’ve always wanted to do your part in raising awareness to the crisis, lend a helping hand via Louis Vuitton’s #MakeAPromise campaign in partnership with the United Nations Children Fund (UNICEF).

Earlier this year, four remarkable individuals from our country were recently appointed as ambassadors for this campaign. For every Silver Lockit sold, $200 will be donated to UNICEF to fund programmes for over 9 million children in Syria and its neighbouring countries. Since the campaign’s inception in January 2016, the UNICEF partnership has successfully raised more than $2.5 million in life-saving humanitarian support. This time around, the French luxury brand is rolling out a new interpretation of its Silver Lockit by way of colour bracelets to continue raising awareness and funds. UNICEF’s initiatives for the Syrian children include providing safe water, sanitation services, healthcare and essential nutrition and plenty more.

Why the Silver Lockit? Inspired by Georges Vuitton’ invention (an unpickable tumbler lock) circa 1890, the sterling silver lock serves as a symbol of protection—and now comes in five various colour cord bracelets you can choose from.

Louis Vuitton Silver Lockit (RM1,150) will be available 14 September on louisvuitton.com; and worldwide, including Malaysia on 15 September for a limited time only.
