#KLFW2015 Highlights of Day 4

Before KLFW RTW 2015 officially ends, we can surmise that sheer, peplum and print on print are still trending, and no matter how many monotone collections that have been presented on the runway, there’s always an element of surprise that comes along with each piece (which we’re absolutely glad for). But aside from the typical trends, here’s what stood out for us on Day 4:

1. Sean and Sheila’s Japanese-inspired Koi fish-embroidered modern kimonos were exquisite. From the detailing of the hemlines to presentation of each piece, we love the avant-garde direction of their collection. Case in point: a chic red bomber jacket casually worn one-shouldered to display subtle Japanese bamboo leaves embroidery on an inner crisp white top.

2. Sonny San decided to elevate the pajamas and pleated trend for eclipse’s collection. Find leaf-printed pajamas tops in fall hues paired with matching shorts, accessorised with a shimmery tasseled belt that you can wear for a weekend. His pleated dresses had an element of surprise as the models sashayed down the runway—the pleated layer was an overlay for sequinned skirts, which made for a glitzy and glamorous spectacle.

3. Look forward to fall and/or wintry weather with Hatta Dolmat’s minimalistic neoprene-ladden collection of trenchcoats, oversized turtlenecks and beanies all in spring-like sherbet colours (we love the irony here). A distinct motif was a multicolour iridescent beetle, which might be jarring to some but unique in our books.
