For the last few weeks, Simon Porte Jacquemus has been teasing his 403k followers on Instagram with the #newjob hashtag, and yesterday, at his womenswear Fall 2018 show in Paris, he finally revealed the news-no, he’s not going to Celine or Versace. Instead, he’ll be introducing his menswear line, which is scheduled to be launched in June this year during Paris Men’s Fashion Week. “You can have a new job even if it’s at your own house.” The reasoning behind this project? He fell in love. Speaking of the men’s collection, he says “I see the Jacquemus man as I see the Jacquemus woman, it’s my own story and emotions—all that inside a collection”.
