Happening this week: Pavilion Pitstop 2016 heats up the fashion circuit

The air is thick with anticipation as only 48 hours stand between the crowd and the flag off for the ‘Fashion Report’ we have been waiting for. From 28 September to 2 October, fashion’s finest will descend upon Malaysia’s premier shopping destination for a five-day fashion showcase that is not to be missed.

Pavilion Kuala Lumpur will be hosting Pavilion Pitstop—its annual fashion tie-in with the Formula 1 Petronas Malaysia Grand Prix with fashion shows blazing down the runway while a slew of special events rev the festivities up.

Accompanying your favourite brands in the key line-up featuring Hugo Boss, Rimowa, Blackbarrett and Lord’s 1974, is the beauty artistry courtesy of Nars and Miko Galère, the official makeup and hair sponsors for Pavilion Pitstop 2016. A bubbly spike to the revelry, Remy Cointreau International is on board as the alcohol sponsor for the event.

An Evening with Boss – Meet-and-Greet with Mercedes AMG Petronas Formula 1 Team Driver, Lewis Hamilton

28 September 2016 (6pm)

Hugo Boss takes suiting up to another level in their partnership with Mercedes AMG Petronas, designing high-performance kits for the team. With Hugo Boss as the team’s Official Supplier of Lifestyle and Formal Wear Clothing, Mercedes team driver, Lewis Hamilton can be seen decked out in threads from the brand both on and off the circuit. Influenced by the thrills of the track, Hugo Boss engineers ‘Boss for Mercedes Benz’—a biannual fashion collection featuring technical prowess and stylistic innovation.

My Rimowa Story

The leading authority in premium travel luggage presents ‘My Rimowa Story – The Designer Edit’. Enlisting four of Malaysia’s most beloved designers, the collaboration is an homage to individual style and expression. Khoon Hooi, Jonathan Liang, Sereni & Shentel, and Izrin Ismail channel their creative visions to create customized bags for the brand in reflection of their personal stories of inspiration and success.

 

Blackbarrett Autumn Winter 2016 Showcase

30 September 2016 (7.30pm)

Blackbarrett unveils a collection inspired by the conceptualization and creation of machines. With creative references ranging from the initial line drawings to the sharp angles and fluid curves of machinery, the new collection is rendered in metallic shades alongside a monochromatic palette and emblazoned with graphic artworks.

Lord’s 1974 Spring Summer 2017 Fashion Show

1 October 2016 (7pm)

For their SS17 line-up, Lord’s 1974 swings back to our neck of the woods to highlight the beauty of our lush natural heritage. A juxtaposition of the urban and tropical jungles in our backyard, updated camouflage motifs mingle amongst animal prints and exquisite botanical embroidery.

Parkson Fashion Spotlight 2016

1 October 2016 (1.30pm)

The illustrious multi-brand retailer focuses its spotlight on Korean fashion with ready-to-wear shows by leading Korean highstreet brands Spao, Mixxo and Who.A.U. Completing the roster are French Connection, Trucco, Pepe Jeans, Daphne, and The Class.

Finally, like a crowning jewel, the grand opening of Damiani‘s flagship store will have the honour of hosting special guest Tan Sri Dato’ Seri Michelle Yeoh on 30 September 2016.
