5 Breakout models from AW16 you need to know all about

If you’re one of those who focus both at the clothes and women wearing them on the runways of fashion shows, here is a roundup of five new faces to know of this AW16, from the doe-eyed Rhiannon McConnell who’s already a regular at Gucci since Resort 2016 to the cool, IT-girl of now Dilone.

Dilone

One to watch for her prominent rise in the industry since SS15, rapper Dilone is one edgy yet versatile model who’s been featured in i-D, LOVE Magazine, and even ad campaigns for Opening Ceremony and Urban Outfitters. She’s been spotted at Bottega Veneta AW16 Menswear, and took on a good many shows during womenswear AW16, from Lacoste, Suno, Fenty x Puma, Victoria Beckham, Balmain, Fendi and more.

Katherine Moore

You’d never know what a haircut that can do to your career, and in Katherine Moore’s case, her choppy orange haircut landed her a sweet opening spot at Alexander Wang AW16 show. Her incredible transformation from pretty to punk got her walking on runways of Mulberry, Max Mara, Saint Laurent, Vetements, Maison Margiela and more this season.

Shelby Hayes

You wouldn’t have guessed that this Californian-born and bred model is only 16-years old and has already walked for Louis Vuitton, Prada, Valentino and more this season. Fun fact: she was only scouted two weeks before NYFW AW16 before flying in to make her runway debut for Proenza Schouler.

Julee Huang

Having first appeared on the runways of SS16 (Dries Van Noten, Jacquemus, and Yoji Yamamoto), Huang’s waif-like features landed her with a slew of shows this AW16 season, from Calvin Klein and Dolce & Gabbana to Alexander McQueen and Kenzo. We can’t get enough of one notable trait of hers: those quirky, prominent ears!

Rhiannon McConnell

We first spotted this freckle-laden elfin beauty at Gucci Resort 2016’s video campaign and again at the SS16 menswear show in Milan earlier this year. Alessandro Michele’s favourite model of the moment has also appeared during Chanel SS16 and is making her way up the “faces to watch” list this AW16, walking for Fendi, Carven, Max Mara, and Alberta Ferretti.
