Akin to the Oscars, the Governors Awards is pretty much the event that champions the industry’s insiders (members of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences) alongside guests who are mostly hopeful nominees for 2017’s Academy Awards. Held in LA, this year’s highlights at the 8th Annual Governors Awards include honorees Jackie Chan, Anne V. Coates, Lynn Stalmaster and Frederick Wiseman sweeping honorary Oscars, and not forgetting a slew of stunning red carpet looks courtesy of silver screen regulars. Outstanding looks came in a plethora of fall-appropriate hues, such as Michelle Williams’ spangled Louis Vuitton gown, Lily Collins’ liquid gold ensemble, and Emma Stone’s royal offering in Erdem.
