PFW SS16: Acne Studios

“Musicians make their own fashion. It’s a personal expression that I find inspiring”, said Creative Director Jonny Johansson of the collection; evidence: embroideries of guitars in chrome and plexiglass, complete with guitar strings, on tops, jackets, and cropped trousers.

Oversized, masculine tailoring and boxy silhouettes were juxtaposed with feminine fabrics—swaying fringes, crushed velvet, and knits—alongside prints of soundwave zigzags and circular motif resembling CDs.

There was a lot to love when it came to accessories, notably the roomy square-shaped leather bags with wide obi-belt ties at the shoulder, clutches with knot handles and the series of sock sneakers.
