NYFW SS16: Thakoon

Thakoon’s SS16 collection had the makings of an elevated beach-vacation wardrobe: pajamas-like robe and pairings, a gauzy printed dress worn over a swimsuit, and dresses and tops with midriff cutouts.

There was bleached denim, tulle and crepe in grid-like prints, and leaf motifs and embroidery in his designs, along with one or two sequinned looks—indicating a more advanced contemporary aesthetic for the urban wearer instead of high-fashion, high-end luxe.
