NYFW SS16: Jeremy Scott

Plastic fantastic

NYFW SS16: Jeremy Scott
Jeremy Scott welcomes us back into the 60s with his signature pop-art aesthetic mashed with big hair and cartoon-esque prints, showing us that "fashion should be fun".

Renown for his playful and daring sense of fashion, Jeremy Scott channels a funky 60's vibe into his SS16 collection with dangling Perspex chains, psychedelic prints and a splash of vibrant neon colours.

With the slogan of "plastic is fantastic", the catwalk debuted the exciting collaboration with Brazilian plastic footwear brand Melissa, featuring two signature quirky styles of plastic shoes that would leave Barbie envious—an ankle boot and mule with an inflatable nozzle on the heel.

Following their appearance at the Tommy Hilfiger show, the Hadid sisters took yet another runway by the storm with Gigi opening the show and Bella closing it. We especially love Gigi's blonde bombshell look, which in a metallic cone-inspired bustier, resembled the 'Fembots' from Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery.
