MFW SS16: Alberta Ferretti

Alberta Ferretti SS16 had the makings of a nomadic drifter in touch with her inner bohemian spirit as she flits here and there with an open mind.

Rich in earthy hues of black, beige and burnt orange, the collection was construed of billowy frocks in chiffon, lace and silk along with chic separates (peasant blouses, safari trench coats) that one can imagine wearing in an indie, luxurious beach vacation while keeping it classy—especially coupled with hammered gold accessories and cutout gladiator sandals.

The last few looks were heightened boho-glam evening gowns, a standout being a leaf-patterned one-shoulder gown made from what seem to be frayed chiffon sewn together carefully, channeling a forest-nymph vibe that augmented the theme of the show.
