Recap: 7 Hottest parties during SS18 Fashion Month

NEW YORK

Tom Ford

Where: Its SS18 showspace at the Park Avenue Armory was transformed into a ’70s disco post-show

Who: Ansel Elgort, Cindy Crawford and supermodels Karlie Kloss and Joan Smalls partied the night away

Performance: DJ Virgil Abloh (aka Off-White’s creative director) spun classic tracks such as Journey’s Don’t Stop Believin’ and Michael Jackson’s P.Y.T 

Highlights: Topless men (dressed in short shorts, no less) were the servers of the night

Alexander Wang

Where: A warehouse in Bushwick, Brooklyn, where the SS18 show was held (on the streets)

Who: It-girls such as Bella Hadid, Kendall Jenner and Kaia Gerber (who walked the show) joined the #WANGFEST

Performance: Ja Rule performed his hits such as Always On Time, I’m Real and Put It On Me, and Ashanti and Cardi B also joined him on stage.

Highlights: With an ice bar, donut towers, an inflatable pool with beer, AND a bounce castle, Alexander Wang sure knows how to throw a good party.

LONDON

Jeremy Scott

Where: Café de Paris in Leicester, London

Who: The always-fabulous drag queen Jodie Harsh, and up-and-coming It-girls such as Lottie Moss, Jasmine Sanders and Duckie Thot attended the event

Performance: Guests grooved to the beats by Neneh Cherry, Charles Jeffrey and Rina Sawayama.

Highlights: Co-hosted by i-D, the party—held to celebrate the designer’s collaboration with shoe brand UGG kicked off London Fashion Week.

MILAN

Dolce & Gabbana 

Where: Bar Martini in Milan after its “secret show”

Who: Naomi Campbell, Cameron Dallas, Sara Sampaio, and Malaysian twins Rachel and Michelle Yeoh attended the party

Performance: Graziano Della Nebbia performed against a Martini neon sign

Highlights: The night before its actual SS18 show, the brand held a “secret show” featuring the millennials of the moment. Co-founder Stefano Gabbana aptly dressed according to the theme in a ‘King of Hearts’ costume

Swarovski

Where: The event was held at the 15th Century Villa Gernetto in the Milanese countryside

Who: Aside from supermodels Naomi Campbell, Karlie Kloss and Alessandro Ambrosio, Boy George and our very own Friends of Swarovski, Neelofa and Venice Min were some of the VIP guests of the night

Performance: Attendees enjoyed performances by Lithuanian violinist Saulė Kilaitė, Andrea Bocelli, American singer Daya and Boy George.

Highlights: The brand opened Milan Fashion Week with a Christmas-themed ‘Crystal Wonderland’ party for its Holiday campaign, featuring a two-storey tall Christmas tree

PARIS

French Vogue for Paris Fashion Week

Where: Le Petit Palais in Paris

Who: Aside from supermodels and fashion industry heavyweights, celebrities include Fergie, Emily Ratajkowski, Kylie Minogue and Dita Von Teese made an appearance at the event

Highlights: The party was held to celebrate late photographer Irving Penn’s exhibition

Louis Vuitton

Who: Hollywood A-listers Cate Blanchett and Julianne Moore, Fan Bingbing and our Friends of Buro, Marion Caunter were spotted at the event

Performance: Will Smith and his sons, Jaden and Trey Smith were the surprise performers of the night. The former Fresh Prince joined forces with his partner DJ Jazzy Jeff by performing his old-school hits such as Getting’ Jiggy Wit It, Summertime and Miami.

Highlights: The brand celebrated the launch of their Place Vendôme flagship store in Paris after a four-year renovation.
