In a happy accident, Loewe’s now iconic bear coin purses were made by an artisan from a piece of leftover leather at the house’s atelier in the outskirts of Madrid. Under Jonathan Anderson’s direction, the animal collection has since expanded to bulls and elephants and for the Gifts 2015 collection, the largest land mammal has also been turned into a shoulder bag.
