Emporio Armani SS18 collection is made up of cotton candy hues and sway-with-the-wind silhouettes

In conjunction with its new store opening on Bond Street, Emporio Armani moved its SS18 show to London—on River Thames, to be exact—and brought the Italian dream and sunshine along with it. The looks—mostly mixed and matched and layered—sees pieces such as parkas, duster coats, dresses and trousers in an array of fabrics and prints, but one common theme? The floaty material and soft pastel colours that give off a dreamy finish.

To inject a dose of playful aura, cute cartoonish crab and iridescent fabric were also incorporated into the mix in the form of trousers, on sheer tops and more. Models were transformed into (fashionable) fairies with mint, pink and baby blue dresses with flowy sleeves, with some ruffled numbers layered over printed trousers (and juxtaposed with neon sandals) for added interest. Girly ensembles aside, there were also tailored looks that were sartorial. Pantsuits were layered with windbreakers or worn with sexy sheer tops, and some, in candy-cane stripes with a millennial pink bag slung over the shoulder.

Below, all our favourite looks from Emporio Armani’s Spring/Summer 2018 collection:
