Chanel’s Cruise 2018 collection lets you channel your inner Greek goddess

Not one to shy away from OTT showspaces, for Chanel’s Cruise 2018 show back in May, Karl Lagerfeld brought Ancient Greece to Paris by transforming its usual show location at the Grand Palais into a replica of the Temple of Poseidon in the Galerie Courbe. Titled “The Modernity of Antiquity”, models strutted down the runway of towering pillars and sandy grounds—sans the dust—in complementing looks. From Grecian draped gowns to breezy Aphrodite-worthy numbers, the collection was literal in the best way possible, but clothing aside, our favourite pieces are the accessories that, in our opinion, were the real stars of the show. Platform gladiator sandals—with ionic pillars for heels—adorned the models’ feet in an array of bright and bold colours, and jewellery was worn in excess. Case in point: layers upon layers of bracelets and necklaces were paired with gilded headbands, and the arm candies of the season include new designs of its new Chanel Gabrielle bag, and a variety of clutches in earthy tones.

Below, the full accessories collection which will be available in stores from the third week of November:
