Buro 24/7 Malaysia and Marc Jacobs celebrate the Resort 2017 collection

It was a rainy Wednesday evening but the gloomy weather (and the unimaginable traffic) certainly did not dampen the mood at #BuroxMarcJacobs. Celebrities, digital influencers and friends of Buro 24/7 Malaysia and Marc Jacobs came out to play as they celebrated the launch of the American fashion label’s Resort 2017 collection. The exclusive party was held at the Marc Jacobs store in KLCC, the brand’s newly opened boutique. FJ Benjamin’s Divisional Director of Marketing Communication, Vanessa Cheah kicked things off with a warm welcome to the guests in attendance, followed by a short welcome speech from Buro 24/7 Malaysia’s Editor-in-chief, Cai Mei Khoo.

The Marc Jacobs Resort 2017 collection spells ’80s kitsch, featuring fluorescent colours, cool graphics and bold animal prints. Getting in on the fun, esteemed guests, Marion Caunter, Shir Chong, Ashley Lau and SonaOne were all decked out in the retro-feisty range. From Caunter’s head-turning tutu skirt and Chong’s statement shirt to Lau’s iconic MTV logo sweatshirt and SonaOne’s #patchmarc number, they each flaunted the collection’s runway highlights.

In another corner of the boutique, Maggis and Sophia Liana of local girl group, De Fam were spotted picking limited edition add-ons at the #PatchMarc station, where guests can customize their favourite Marc Jacobs pieces with exclusive patches and pins. Young talents, Sawyer Leong, Cheryl Leong and Rayyandino also stole the scene as they walked in, all dressed in Little Marc Jacobs.

Guests also enjoyed hors d’oeuvre and champagne while moving to dance beats played by DJ Eva. The fun did not end there; two luckydraw winners walked away with the Marc Jacobs Resort 2017 collection goodies. Other guests went home with a door gift from Buro 24/7 and Marc Jacobs, and great memories to commemorate the fun-filled evening.
