This bag trend isn’t going anywhere yet, proven from the SS18 runways

The round bag has been getting a lot of lovin’ this past season, solidifying its status as summer’s It accessory to tote. But let’s be real: These circular bags have got serious cute factor, especially when they go so well with flirty frocks and breezy sundresses. Versatile at best, a cylindrical-shaped bag can be pulled off for all occasions—switch it up from a crossbody straw bag to a glittery minaudière depending on where you go.

The recent Spring/Summer 2018 runways were a harbinger that this bag silhouette is not going anywhere just yet. Louis Vuitton had a slew of hat-box lookalikes in its signature Epi leather and exotic materials, 3.1 Phillip Lim reinvented bowling bags, and Salvatore Ferragamo hooked on coin-purse sized bags on a waist belt for easy access. For the evening, Delpozo and Chanel gave us a handful of surprises, quite literally, in the form of minaudières—the former with embellishments and the latter a perspex version with its signature chain link strap. Below, check out all our favourite spherical bags from Spring/Summer 2018:
