Omega launches its first sunglasses collection

Swiss watchmaker Omega is known for its iconic timepieces and status as a timekeeper for major sport events, including the recent Rio 2016 Olympics. But this year, the brand makes its first foray into the world of fashion accessories with a debut collection of sunglasses for men and women.

“This is an exciting step for Omega because it leads our brand into new areas of opportunity. With our long history, there is real brand substance and authenticity to work with and we have ensured that it is truly represented in every pair of sunglasses,” says president and CEO of Omega, Raynald Aeschlimann. “For customers, this is a chance to find new ways to express personal style and a passion for our brand.

The first summer collection that is available in Omega boutiques nationwide now takes inspiration from the brand’s heritage and range of watches. A closer look at the sunglasses and you’ll spot similar elements from Omega’s range of products, including the flower pattern from Omega jewellery, iconic decorative claws from Omega Constellation, along with the sleek dark finish reminiscent of the ceramic Dark Side of the Moon collection. Each pair of sunglasses are available in two different sizes and two colour varieties for each model. All lenses, nose pads and facetted temple tips are engraved with the Omega name and logo, and a limited edition model inspired by Omega’s appointment as the Rio 2016 Olympics’ official timekeeper is also available (although only 2016 pairs have been created).

Omega’s sunglasses collection is available at all Omega stores nationwide.
