Lottie Moss joins Chanel as the latest face for the SS17 eyewear campaign

It seems like iconic supermodel Kate Moss isn’t the only genetically blessed one in the family. Lottie Moss, the 19-year old half-sister to Kate has been making headlines of her own with her flaxen hair and modeling chops. Her breakthrough came at Chanel’s 2017 Métiers d’Art at the Ritz Paris, where she glided down the mirrored floors alongside Karl Lagerfeld’s current and longtime muses Lily-Rose Depp and Cara Delevingne.

This season, Moss joins Depp and Willow Smith as the new face of Chanel’s eyewear collection for Spring/Summer 2017. Shot by Lagerfeld, the campaign sees Moss posing fresh-faced with the latest optical and sunglasses from the lineup, casting off a Lolita-esque aesthetic with her long crimped hair and lacey numbers. The standout in the visuals are the shades that take on both retro and modern silhouettes. One of it sports gradated, contoured lenses that appear to be encoded—a futuristic effect that is done by placing a lettered stencil in between two layers of mirrored filter. Another reps a butterfly frame that has metal temples along the eyebrow line, providing a bold contrast to the lenses in silver, black mirror and 18k yellow gold.
