You have probably seen this video making its rounds in your social media circle—a bunch of Avengers including Robert Downey Jr., Scarlett Johansson, Don Cheadle and Mark Ruffalo join hands with other actors like Neil Patrick Harris, Julianne Moore, Cobie Smulders, Hamilton star Leslie Odom Jr. and many more in this tongue-in-cheek video by Joss Whedon. The message delivered is veiled yet clear: register and vote (they didn't say for who, but it is implied), because your voice makes a difference.

So how is it different, but same to us? The answer is pretty simple: they may be talking about the American elections, but the core message on the importance of every vote applies to us too. If you are eligible to vote but haven't registered to do so, it is perhaps wise to put it in your to-do list soon, because registrations for the quarter is due to close soon. Although the dates for the next Malaysian general elections are not decided yet, it will be within the next two years—it is definitely advisable to act now rather than later.
