What makes us uniquely Malaysian?

Just as important as our independence day is Malaysia Day. It is on this day 54 years ago where the Malaysian federation as we know it was established; the day where Malaya, Sabah and Sarawak came together as one country, one nation.

For us Malaysians, this is home. Despite our diversity and differences, our common nationality and love for the country bring us together as one, and we trust we’re not alone to say that wherever life takes us, we still remain very much Malaysians at heart. Here, we asked 12 local personalities—whether they’re hustling locally or repping us abroad—what makes us uniquely Malaysian, and what do they love most about our county:

Alicia Amin, model, actress and emceeEmily Quak, YouTuber
