The Japanese Film Festival kicks off with a splendid line-up of films (14 in total) for your viewing pleasure

This 7 September to 1 October, the Japanese Film Festival returns for its 14th edition, bringing some of the best films from Japan to our shores for the first time. Blank 13, for example, will be making its Southeast Asian debut at the festival. It is quite the special treat for Malaysians, as the film will only be released in Japan in February next year.

Partnered with GSC Cinemas, the festival will begin in the Klang Valley, showing at Mid Valley, 1 Utama, Pavilion KL and Nu Sentral from 7 to 13 September, before moving on to Gurney Plaza in Penang for the dates of 14 to 17 September. The nationwide tour will wrap up in East Malaysia, covering cities in both states—CityONE Megamall in Kuching from 21 to 24 September, and Kota Kinabalu's Suria Sabah from 29 September to 2 October.

All films will be presented with English subtitles. Tickets can be purchased at the GSC box office or at www.gsc.com.my. For more information, visit jfkl.org.my
