#BacktoBasics:
Restyle your wardrobe with
the Cruise 2018 collection
Spice it up
From your day-off staples to workwear essentials, here are six different ways to give your closet that trendy refresh
It's the beginning of the year, and if you're still in that new-year-new-me mood, it's about time to give your closet its much needed revitalising. From fail-proof LBDs to casual T-shirts, we picked out six wardrobe classics and gave the worn-to-death pieces (not complaining, really) a spruce-me-up—all with the Cruise 2018 collection. Whether you'd like to refresh your look, or to just have another reason to go shopping, either way works.
Basic #1:
LBD
Two words: layer up. Retain the LBD's über sleek vibe with an alluring sheer top worn under, finished off on an edgy note with cut-out booties.
Fringed dress, Versace. Pumps, Dior.
Sheer top, Prada. Cut-out booties, Versace. Jewelled bag, Jimmy Choo.
Basic #2:
Pleated skirt
Juxtapose the flirty and feminine piece with a bold printed cardigan, cinched with a belt to show off your svelte figure. A pair of glitter booties adds to the allure.
Sweater, model's own. Pleated skirt, Fendi. Slingback pumps, Prada.
Cardigan, Gucci. Belt, Bottega Veneta. Glitter booties, Jimmy Choo.
Basic #3:
Striped sweater
Instead of sticking to a monochrome palette, go for clashing prints with a stripes-and-jacquard combo that bound to turn heads. The booties—with trousers tucked in—make walking about town that bit more stylish.
Striped sweater, Louis Vuitton. Wide-legged trousers, Céline. Pumps, Bottega Veneta.
Jacquard trousers, booties and bag, all Louis Vuitton.
Basic #4:
Graphic T-shirt
Dress up your day-off staple by incorporating some structure and sheer details. We love how the nipped-at-the-waist blazer enhances the dressy vibe without looking overly formal, thanks to the pleated skirt. Matching accessories are fail-proof.
T-shirt, and printed trousers, both Gucci. Ankle-strap pumps, Jimmy Choo.
Blazer, Céline. Pleated skirt, Prada. Bag, Dior. Pumps, Saint Laurent.
Basic #5:
Fit-and-flare dress
Not in the mood for some décolletage-flaunting? No fret. Give your neutral-hued number that pop of interest with a bright turtleneck top, unzipped to show off our accessory of choice—the bandanna.
V-neck dress, Dior. Jewelled flats, Miu Miu.
High-neck top, Miu Miu. Bandanna scarf and bag, both Dior. Pumps, Bottega Veneta.
Basic #6:
Button-down shirt
Give the workwear essential that playful update on the weekends—the overall lends that utilitarian flair to the get-up. Instead of the go-to sneakers, a pair of heels will help to elevate the outfit.
Button-down shirt and denim shorts, both Gucci. Knee-high booties, Saint Laurent.
Overalls, Miu Miu. Embellished-handle bag, Gucci. Slingback pumps, Prada.
