Party hair trends you can pull off for NYE

If you’ve sported the same ol’ hairdo—voluminous curls or a chic chignon—for every event you’ve been at this year, it’s time to reset and refresh your beauty look before the year ends. The last hairdo of the year calls for a trend-setting one, and if you like it that much, take on 2016 with these new hairdos as well!

Not your average ponytail

Chanel and Dior SS16 had pulled-back hairdos that was all business in the front and party in the back (or side for Dior!) Get Chanel’s twin ‘do by separating your locks into two pigtails and cinching it with a large double-barette, or two barettes if you like. Dior exposed a little ear for statement earrings to peek out, and a simple ribbon was used for the ponytail.

Glitzy accessories

Floral hair accessories are always the easiest to clasp on if you run out of party-hair ideas. Dolce&Gabbana’s jewel encrusted headband is perfect for elevating day two hair. But if the last party of the year is hosted at a rooftop bar/penthouse suite with an infinity pool in tow, bring on your bounciest side-swept waves and secure it with a vibrant floral hairclip as spotted at Diane von Furstenberg.

A twisted updo

For those who have got ample time primping at the hair salon beforehand, try out Alberta Ferretti’s reinvented updo that includes Greek goddess-like gold accents. This romantic style is made up entirely of multiple twisted locks of hair fastened together with pins and plenty of hairspray.
