Beauty memo for the night: streaky tousled hair, complexion au naturel, and a smidgen of blush over the cheekbones
One good reason why Alexander Wang's shows are always one of the few highly-anticipated ones during New York Fashion Week is partly (or very likely in our books) due to the fact that most of the beauty looks are half trend-blazing, half radical to boot. Who could forget the out-of-this-world choppy rust-hue haircut that was given to model Katie Moore last season? Or the sporty cool two-toned low ponytails from Autumn/Winter 2013? This Spring/Summer 2017, it's all about going fresh-face but with a touch of pizzazz—perfectly complementing the Cali-slinging vibe that was present throughout the collection. Hair was given a streaky, made-for-the-beach tousle, and those sporting blond hair had bleached brows to go hand-in-hand. A light dusting of a coral/peach-tone blush was applied on the cheekbones to leave a sun-kissed glow, and that was all that's needed for an effortless, pared-back look that's apt for summer.
