6 Low-key ponytails you can wear for this weekend’s festivities

If time isn’t on your side this weekend since you’ll be busy doing some last minute shopping (gift guides here for easy reference), we got your hairdo covered for the multiple parties and get-togethers you’re about to hit. Ponytails grazing the neck are all the rage this season, based on the different variations we saw on the runways of Spring/Summer 2017 — which also means that you don’t have to be donning top knots and fancy blowouts to look on-trend.

The recent Chanel Métiers d’Art show had elegant low ponytails teemed with veil nets and sizable roses in pink, red, and black — perfect if you’ve always wanted to wear hair accessories without looking OTT. And as you might already have spotted, extreme side parting seems to have found its fair share of followers with a slew of side-parted sleek straight locks and the like. Wear it in a low ponytail replete with wispy side-swept bangs for a dramatic effect. But none can compare to Tibi’s take on ponytails when it comes to scoring for effortlessness: Hair belting is currently a thing now. A tip to  prevent the belt from sliding off your hair is to apply thickening tonic beforehand for extra volume.

Here’s how you can add a fresh spin to the pared down hairstyle:
